ANCIZAR'S STORY
Ancizar’s story is one of perseverance, uncertainty, and the hope that becomes possible when compassionate care meets a real and urgent need.
After leaving Colombia and entering the US in 2024, Ancizar began the difficult process of rebuilding life in a new country all while providing for his wife and two children.
With part-time hours of employment, his family’s income is limited, covering only their most basic needs — housing, food, and transportation. Like many families we serve, there is little room left for unexpected expenses, especially medical or dental care.
Ancizar had already begun receiving dental treatment here at Mercy Dental Missions, including cleanings and fillings, but he still needed additional care that he could not afford. His remaining treatment, including a crown, was out of his budget. Without completing the crown treatment in time, his cavities could continue to worsen and seriously affect his dental health.
For Ancizar, the barrier was not a lack of responsibility or desire to care for his health. It was simply the reality of limited resources.
Through the Agape Grant Program, Mercy Dental Missions was able to help Ancizar complete the treatment he needed, including his crown. This support helped prevent further dental complications and gave him the opportunity to move forward without the added burden of untreated dental pain and worry.
That gift meant more than dental care. It brought relief, stability, and encouragement to a father working hard to build a safe and hopeful future for his family.
Ancizar’s story is a reminder that dental care is deeply connected to dignity, opportunity, and peace of mind. Through the generosity behind the Agape Grant Program, patients like Ancizar are reminded that they are not alone, and that even in seasons of uncertainty, healing and hope are still possible.
