Starting over brought financial hardship, emotional stress, and difficult choices as he worked to provide stability while adjusting to a completely new life.

With limited resources, José was forced to prioritize necessities like housing, transportation, and work. Dental care became something he simply could not afford. Although he knew treatment was important, years passed without the care he needed because, without dental insurance, even essential procedures were out of reach.

Over time, his oral health continued to worsen. What began as untreated dental concerns eventually developed into an infection that began affecting more than just his mouth. José shared that he experienced discomfort extending into his ear and head, bringing not only physical pain but growing anxiety about what might happen if he continued to wait.

When José came to Mercy Dental Missions, our team recognized that he needed a biopsy to properly evaluate the area of concern. Through the generosity of the Agape Grant Program, he was awarded financial assistance to receive this important procedure, removing a significant barrier to the care he desperately needed.

For José, this support represented far more than a medical procedure. It offered peace of mind, answers, and the opportunity to move forward with hope instead of fear.
